The Questionnaire Design and Documentation Tool is intended to provide an interactive and dynamic web-based tool which can be used to both document and retrieve information on the complex process of designing a cross-national survey questionnaire. It should provide a more streamlined and user friendly replacement for the current paper-based word template used to document the European Social Survey’s questionnaire design process.

The QDDT is intended to improve the efficiency of the questionnaire design process. The tool will provide a means of managing the design process, tracking the development of question items over different stages of pre-testing and review and incorporating input from multiple stakeholders. The QDDT should also provide the basis for generating the final field ready questionnaire from the question items developed and recorded within the tool.

Ranke.2 is a teaching platform for lecturers and students of History to teach how to apply source criticism to digitised and digital born historical sources.

This is a five-week course for individuals that support researchers to manage and share their data, including librarians, IT and information specialists, data stewards, and research office staff. You’ll discover common research support services, how to create data management plans, and how to develop your own research data management roadmap. You will learn from experts in the field from the internationally-recognised Digital Curation Centre and Research Data Netherlands and build your confidence in supporting researchers and preserving data. This course has been certified by the CPD Certification Service as conforming to continuing professional development principles.

This toolkit is a self-contained package providing the information, guidance, and materials needed for an institution, organization, community group, or individual to deliver trainings in digital literacy in their communities. The Toolkit addresses the complete range of activities to consider in undertaking such trainings, from planning and scheduling to feedback and follow-up. The focus, however, is on training the trainer for successful classroom delivery, and the bulk of the resources are devoted to providing trainers with the tools, understanding, support, and skills necessary for this outcome.

The webinar, organised by ENVRI-FAIR Work Packages 5 and 6, has been held on June 3rd 2020 for Research Infrastructure developers, managers, and anyone interested in FAIR Research Infrastructures and has been presented by Markus Stocker.

Three webinars on Data FAIRness have been jointly organised by ENVRI-FAIR and LifeWatch ERIC from July to September 2020, with a focus on helping end users, particularly ENVRI-FAIR project partners and data centre staff, make the best use of their data.

Under the heading of ‘Towards the ENVRI Community Winter School', the online training series debuts on Monday 13 July 2020. The first broadcast is presented by Zhiming Zhao, from the University of Amsterdam, and will go to air from 9:30 to 12:00 CEST, providing ‘An introduction to Cloud Computing'. 

The second webinar on ‘Workflows Orchestration and Execution' will follow on Tuesday 14 July, from 10:00-12:00, presented by Nicola Fiore and Lucia Vaira, both from LifeWatch ERIC. 

The third webcast is scheduled for 22 September and will feature Claudio D'Onofrio and Karolina Pantazatou, both from ICOS ERIC, with ‘An Introduction to Jupyter'.
