This teaching resource provides instructors and students with materials designed to assist in teaching qualitative methods of data collection.

This resource provides brief summaries of some of the different ways in which researchers can collect qualitative data, including focus groups, diaries, online data collection, and visual methods. Each summary is accompanied by an illustrative data sample from the extensive collections held by the UK Data Archive.

IIIF - International Image Interoperability Framework

The International Image Interoperability Framework (IIIF) is a group of standard APIs around sharing and reuse of media. It is also a growing community of galleries, libraries, archives, museums, companies, and others who develop the standards and interoperable software implementations. Content includes helpful links around each of the standards, demonstrations of their use, and tutorials and presentations. The list is especially helpful for orienting new community members and developers.

University of Huddersfield Library Services

University of Huddersfield’s Library holds over 330,000 book and journal items, and provides access to around 750,000 electronic resources. The library is located on the University’s campus in the centre of Huddersfield.

The University is also home to Heritage Quay, the information, records management and archive service at the University of Huddersfield. For researchers, students, academics and members of the public Heritage Quay acts as the official archive for the University, as well as the guardian of the archives of other organisations, families and individuals dating back over 200 years.

DCAF

Geneva Center for Security Center Governance (DCAF) is dedicated to making states and people safer, within a framework of democratic governance, the rule of law and respect for human rights. Since 2000, the Centre has facilitated, driven and shaped security sector reform (SSR) policy and programming around the world.

DCAF creates innovative knowledge products, promotes norms and good practices, and provides legal and policy advice. DCAF supports capacity building of state, civil society and private sector stakeholders by providing access to independent expertise and information on Security Sector Governance and Reform (SSG/R).

DCAF's publications include a number of toolkits for trainers, training tips, and training modules on security issues.

OpenAIRE Support aims to train researchers, content providers, policy makers to acquire skills and competencies to Open Science practice. For this purpose, guides, factsheets and webinars to fostering culture change for Open Science practice have been set up, and workshops are organised, OpenAIRE Support also provides use cases of OpenAIRE services for different stakeholders.

PARTHENOS Project

PARTHENOS stands for “Pooling Activities, Resources and Tools for Heritage E-research Networking, Optimization and Synergies”. PARTHENOS aimed at strengthening the cohesion of research in the broad sector of Linguistic Studies, Humanities, Cultural Heritage, History, Archaeology and related fields through a thematic cluster of European Research Infrastructures, integrating initiatives, e-infrastructures and other world-class infrastructures, and building bridges between different, although tightly, interrelated fields.

The PARTHENOS project has created a series of training modules and resources for researchers, educators, managers and policy makers who want to learn more about research infrastructures and the issues and methods around them. There are also materials for trainers available.
